Notre Eau
Notre Avenir

For the Chambre Régionale d’Agriculture d’Occitanie, we designed and built the website for the “Notre Eau, Notre Avenir” campaign, and we keep it running: content, quiz, map of ambassador farmers.

The project

How do you explain to the general public what farming in southwestern France does for water, and keep the website up to date all year?

The challenge

“Notre Eau, Notre Avenir” (Our Water, Our Future) is a public awareness campaign in the Adour-Garonne basin. Its website, published by the Chambre Régionale d’Agriculture d’Occitanie, shows how farming in southwestern France preserves water, and why that matters for food.

The subject is technical: irrigation, water management, water quality, climate change. And the campaign is active all year round, with its posters, videos and news. It needed a website that explains things simply and can be updated without effort.

Objectives:

  • make the basin’s water and agriculture understandable to a non-specialist audience;
  • present the pact for the agroecological transition and those who have signed on;
  • relay the poster campaigns, videos and news;
  • give farmers a voice.

The solution

We designed the website, then built it on Webflow, around four sections:

  • “Water and agriculture”: an overview, then in-depth pages on water management, irrigation and water quality;
  • “Our commitment”: the pact, its objectives and the nine organizations committed to it;
  • “Campaigns”: posters, the communications kit, videos;
  • news, which we add throughout the year.

The visual design starts from the campaign logo: its blue, its green, its water drop. The drop becomes a frame for photos and a visual cue throughout the pages. Illustrations take over when a drawing explains better than a paragraph, as on the “Understanding irrigation” page.

The results

The website is live at notreeaunotreavenir.fr, and it keeps growing: we add campaign content on a regular basis.

  • an online quiz, “Test your knowledge,” to learn through play;
  • a map of the Adour-Garonne basin and a directory of ambassador farmers: a point on the map, the farm, then the farmer’s portrait;
  • illustrated in-depth pages to understand irrigation or water management.
