NIKKAL
We support NIKKAL, which manufactures its paints in French Guiana: strategy, brand book, store signage, website and social media.
The project
How do you make a paint made in French Guiana, built to last here, recognizable from storefront to website?
The challenge
NIKKAL manufactures its paints in French Guiana, for the equatorial climate: sun, heat, rain. Its Cayenne store has moved.
The brief: an image that immediately says who NIKKAL is, what it does and where to find it. The same everywhere, from the storefront sign to the phone screen.
Objectives:
- make the brand and its trade, paint, recognizable;
- promote the store’s new address;
- make people want to ask for advice before buying;
- keep a single image across all materials.

The solution
We started by listening: an online and field survey of individual customers, tradespeople and specifiers. Then an assessment, a strategy and a communications plan.
We set out NIKKAL’s image in a brand book: flat bright colors, geometric shapes, a tagline, “Peinture équatoriale” (equatorial paint), and icons for the trade and the weather. The logo has a badge version, for photos.
This image is rolled out everywhere:
- the storefront sign and the road signs leading to the store;
- vehicle wraps;
- the nikkal.fr website, a single page to request advice or a quote;
- sponsored monthly posts and a recruitment campaign.
The results
NIKKAL approved its brand book, and the website is live. Visitors describe their project, attach a photo if they have one, and an advisor gets back to them. The best sellers each have their own technical data sheet.
Today, NIKKAL has:
- a strategy and a communications plan;
- a brand book and its files;
- the storefront sign, road signs and vehicles, designed in the same colors;
- a website for advice and quote requests;
- posts every month, with a performance report.
The partnership continues.
